Sylvanian round up and the week to come

My dear fanatics,

A wonderful time was had by all that came to the Treehouse Gallery Sunday past. Read a review I wrote about it here, with plenty of visual stimuli to boot.

Next week I’ll be playing a couple of solo gigs, just myself and the guitar at the following events:

Tuesday, 15th September, 2009, Love and Milk at Cable Street Studios, 566 Cable Street, E1W 3HB. Described as “a unique acoustic love-in curated and MC’d by the one and only Bob Constant”. Also playing is Madelaine Hart, Frank Doody, and Libby Trappe. Entrance is a mere £2. I’m rather looking forward to taking in the area and trying to imagine the great defeat Oswald Mosley suffered in the Battle of Cable Street in 1936.

Thursday, 17th September, 2009, Shot by Both Sides reunion night at The Windmill, 22 Blenheim Gardens, Brixton Hill, SW2 5BZ. This event made Time Out, blimey, see here. As always with the chaps that run SBBS, a very interesting line up has been arranged, with The Mules, The Bridport Dagger, and Naseby Fox. Tickets are selling out rather fast for this, but you can buy them here for just £3. I have heard from many different sources that The Windmill in Brixton is possibly the best venue in London. Not having been there myself before, I can’t vouch for it, though I’d certainly suggest coming down if you happen to live in South London, as all south Londoners live in the same street. Correct?

Well then, all the best for the weekend and beyond.

Yours strictly
